Dr Troy Gordon
Dr Troy Gordon is the Director and has been involved with SUL since 2007, first as adjunct professor and since 2012 as Academic Director. He earned a BA from the University of Puget Sound, and an MA and PhD
in English Language & Literature and Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. From 2001-2006 he lectured at UCLA, and from 2007-2012 he served as Head of the Media & Communications Department and later as Associate Dean at Hult International Business School in London.
Dr Gordon specializes in literature, film and gender studies, and also taught a course at SUL on James Bond and British Masculinity. In addition to editing his great-grandfather’s memoirs about growing up in 19th-century Liverpool, he regularly researches and presents on his other areas of interest: the study of unconventional male/female friendships in the modernist period in England, the visual and written representation of mass atrocities and conflict, and the changing nature of work and organisational life in the 21st century.
Dr Meghan Callahan
Dr Meghan Callahan is the Assistant Director for Teaching & Learning. A Syracuse alumna, she received an M.A. in Art History as a Florence Fellow at SU Florence after earning a B.A. from Trinity University in Texas. She holds a Ph.D. in Art History from Rutgers University. From 2006-2008, Dr Callahan was a Kress Curatorial Fellow on the Medieval and Renaissance Galleries at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
Her research interests are in the architectural and artistic patronage of the sixteenth-century mystic Sister Domenica da Paradiso, and Italian Renaissance sculpture. She has published in The Sixteenth Century Journal, Renaissance Studies, and The Burlington Magazine, as well as in various collections of essays; including the recent book dedicated to emeritus professor Gary Radke of Syracuse University.
Marco, our Assistant Director for IT & Operations, holds a B.Sc. in Computing (Software Engineering Pathway) from the University of Westminster. He has previously worked in various IT roles ranging from web and e-Learning developer to Team Leader in both the finance and education sectors.
He is bilingual (English and Portuguese) and in his free time, Marco enjoys retro gaming, classic horror movies and music.
Nada, our Assistant Director for Programming and Student Life, holds a BA and MA in International Relations from London’s Hult International Business School. Lebanese by heritage, she was born in Sierra Leone and grew up in California. She began university in Lebanon, but left during the 2006 war, moving to Dubai and eventually to London to complete her studies. Since then she has worked in the UK Higher Education sector at three different universities. She is keenly interested in identity politics: the relationship between who we think we are and how the notion of nation, state, culture and tradition play into that.
She also enjoys film, baking, photography and football (come on you Spurs!).
Raheel is SU London’s Finance Manager who joined in November 2014. Working in a similar position for a network of independent girls’ schools, he holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from London Metropolitan University and is currently an ACCA finalist. Born and raised in London, Raheel is an avid Arsenal FC supporter to some of his colleagues’ dismay. He is also a fitness enthusiast and finds nothing more relaxing than an intense workout after a hard day’s work!
Jovita, our Academic Excellence Coordinator, joined us in October 2015. Jovita graduated from Hult International Business School in June 2009 with a BA in International Relations, concentration in Gender Studies. Born in Lithuania, she moved to Chicago at the age of 14, and has been in London for the last 8 years. Jovita loves traveling, experiencing culture and all the beauty that comes along with it. On a Friday night you can find her at a concert, or at a restaurant stuffing her face with delicious food and wine. Go Chicago Blackhawks!
Linda Harkness is our London Activities Coordinator. She has a BA (Hons) in French and European Studies from the University of Sussex. Linda joined the Syracuse London Program in 1998 after a long career with British Airways Cabin Services where she became a Cabin Services Director.
Eugenia Francis is the Registrar for SU London. Born in Dominica, West Indies, but a long time London resident, Eugenia has worked for Syracuse since 1986.
Stephen is our Field Trips Coordinator. He attended Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) for his Undergraduate degree, where he completed a BSc (Hons) in Psychology (Sport & Exercise Science). He then continued his education at CCCU and obtained a Post Graduate degree in Education (PGCE) specializing in Sport Science. Over the past 6 years he has been teaching and managing courses in secondary education.
He is a keen sportsman who plays competitive football and rugby, he is also a qualified gym instructor.
Olivia is SU’s Community Engagement Officer. Olivia gained a BSc at Bristol University and spent a year studying at Melbourne University, Australia. Olivia was Human Rights and International Development coordinator for Bristol’s student-led charity Bristol Hubs, an initiative that connects students with ethical and sustainable causes. Last year she co-created a morning dance and wellbeing event, Shake Awake, where she aimed to get students out of bed before 8am!
Lisa, our Health and Wellness Adviser has a BSc (Hons) in Behavioral Science from the University of Glamorgan and MA in Social Work from Cardiff University. She has worked within the specialist field of sexual violence and has supported victims of sexual assault and rape within a forensic setting. Lisa has a Post Graduate Certificate in Systemic family Therapy and has used her skills to work therapeutically with clients of sexual violence.
As an educator, Lisa has delivered a wide range of educational Health and Social Care courses throughout the UK. These courses are aimed to assist practitioner’s knowledge and practice of working within the Social Care workforce. She has a research interest in developing our therapeutic response to victims of sexual violence.
In her spare time she enjoys mountain biking, walking and socializing.
Julia, our Operations Coordinator, graduated from Loughborough University in 2014 with a BSc in Geography. Since graduating, Julia has worked in recruitment and training operations and also spent three months travelling across North America.
Julia loves music – particularly live music and regularly attends concerts and gigs with her family and friends. She also enjoys art, fitness and baking.
Steven is our IT Assistant and joined SU London in June 2016. Born in Belgium, Steven moved to London for a Work Placement for Business Students as part of the EU Leonardo Da Vinci project. He holds a BSc in Applied Computer Science. Previously, he worked in various IT roles in the hospitality industry. In his free time, Steven enjoys walking and spending time with friends and family.
Rohan is our Facilities Manager who joined in November 2015. He has over 25 years in Facilities Management experience within Housing Management, Banking, Local Council and the Serpentine Gallery. He has BIFM and IOSH membership.
Rohan enjoys Napoleonic re-enactments, English history and cycling into work.
Marius is our Facilities Assistant and has been working at SUL since May 2015. Born in Romania, Marius attended art school and is also qualified as a wood carver and electrician. Marius works in a wide range of DIY tasks at Faraday House.
He enjoys playing tennis, running and kart racing.

Security Provided by Millennium Panther Security
Rustem is the senior security officer at SU London. Rustem comes to the Syracuse London program from Millennium Panther Security, the company he directs, to provide SU London’s security staff. His job is to maintain surveillance of the property and to ensure students safety at the London Center. Rustem has an extensive background in security work dating from his time in the Special Forces Unit of the Cyprus army. Rustem has also worked as a Security Officer for the Middle East Broadcasting Centre and as a private body guard and close protection officer. He is a native of North Cyprus and has lived in London since 1990.
Toks Omodunbi works in the front office operations at SU London. He came from Lagos, Nigeria, where he worked in the security industry in various capacities as a security officer, site supervisor, and mobile supervisor. He was also a member of the security team at the Middle East Broadcasting Center and has attended various courses with in the industry, including Access Control, Conflict Management, and Close Protection.
Toks is a massive supporter of Arsenal FC, and enjoys reading, watching films, and digital art. He earned a degree in computer hardware installation at Ibadan Polytechnic in Nigeria.
