Allan Plath (SHR355 Strategic Human Resources)

Allan Plath has been a salesperson, a radio announcer, a senior manager in a not-for-profit organisation, a consultant, a professor, and more. He studied for his PhD in Organizational Development at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and completed it in 1994 at Henley Management College (the UK’s first Management School.). His research focuses on international work assignments. For the past 30 years, he’s been a teacher and a manager in some of the UK’s best Universities, running MBA programmes, leading academic departments, and finally serving as a Dean of a Business School in London. One of the things he’s most proud of is his MBA from Syracuse, where he had the privilege of serving as the elected representative of the University’s graduate students to the University’s Board of Trustees. He has been running internship programmes for the over 10 years, and believes that the most important thing you can do for your career is to actively engage in learning from your work experience.
