Lara Frumkin (PSY474 Forensic Psychology: Crime & Violence – on leave Fall 2016)

Lara Frumkin received her BSc. in Psychology from Hobart and William Smith and an MA and PhD at the University of Maryland, both in Social and Community Psychology. Dr Frumkin worked at a non-profit association in Washington, DC prior to a role at the Justice Department with the US Federal Government. She moved to the UK in 2003, and works as a professor of forensic psychology at the University of East London. Her research is in perceptions of eyewitness testimony based on accent and ethnic background, precursors to engagement in terrorist activities, and stereotyping, marginalization and involvement in deviant behaviour. lfrumkin@syr.edu
