Michael Harris recently joined emerging & frontier market focused Renaissance Capital as Head of Turkish Product. He had spent the previous 19 years with Bank America Merrill Lynch, most recently as Head of Emerging Europe, Middle East, Africa (EEMEA) & Global Frontier Equity Strategy. Prior responsibilities for Merrill Lynch included coverage of the Turkish, Israeli, Greek, and Egyptian equities and Head of Research for the EEMEA region. Over his career he has been among the most successful analysts in the history of the annual Institutional Investor survey with 21 top rankings. Michael started his career as a stock and macro analyst with ABN AMRO in Istanbul, Turkey. He has an MA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Texas, Austin where he was a FLAS Fellow. He received a BS in Finance and International Relation from Syracuse University. He is a native English speaker and he speaks Turkish. meharr04@syr.edu
