Dr. Michael F. Keating graduated with a PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick in February 2006. His research interests revolve around globalization, governance, development, comparative and international political economy, public policy Southeast Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. His doctoral thesis looked at central banking and electricity sector reform in Malaysia and Uganda from the perspective of the historical institutionalism, focusing on the impact of ‘global best practice(s)’ on policy process. mfkeatin@syr.edu
