Kate Hammer (EEE370 Introduction to Entrepreneurship)

Kate Hammer is a commercial storyteller and change catalyst, working in the social enterprise, NGO, technology and corporate sectors both in-house and as an advisor. She commits herself to lifting the ceiling of what’s considered possible. She works with entrepreneurs and forward-thinking company leaders as a coach and consultant. The tool called StoryFORMs Kate created helps visionaries and teams formulate and test their core stories. Looking ahead, Kate wants to transform business education so that future generations have frameworks and tools to build businesses that sustainably protect the planet and promote human flourishing. Kate holds a PhD from University of Surrey (Roehampton) in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies, a B.A. Honors in Semiotics from Brown University. She trained as an actor, has published in Theatre Studies academic journals, written for the performing arts trade press and in January 2104, Kate was named a Top 40 Innovation Blogger on the world’s largest innovation forum. kahammer@syr.edu
