Cambridge is, of course, most well-known for hosting the second-oldest English-speaking university (don’t mention Oxford – or the ‘O word’ – while you’re there!). The King’s College Chapel is one of the most stunning examples of Gothic architecture, and the artwork inside chronicles a soap opera-esque history of politics and family drama within both church and state. The town itself has existed since the 1st century, and is popular for its food and craft markets as well as the iconic sport of punting – floating on gondola-like boats down the River Cam.
If you would like to travel to Cambridge on Friday 12th October, keep an eye on your Syracuse email account: Registration will open on Tuesday 2nd October, and spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis! This trip will lend itself to an Art, Architecture & Heritage reflection to earn a stamp in your London Passport.
