BATH & STONEHENGE

Bath is a World Heritage site, thanks to its long history as a spa. The Romans built baths and a temple in the area in 60AD, and it has attracted people with the promise of hot springs and healing powers ever since. And between London and Bath lay one of England’s most iconic sites: a circle of standing stones. Each is around twice the size of a tall basketball player and weighs 25 tonnes…and though archaeologists believe the ring was created around 2300BC, and some human bones suggest it may have been a burial site, the true purpose and construction method remains a mystery. Also a fun fact: Stonehenge is officially owned by the Crown!

If you would like to travel to Bath on Friday 12th April, keep an eye on your Syracuse email account: Registration will open on Tuesday 2nd April, and spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis! This trip will lend itself to an Art, Architecture & Heritage or Sport, Wellbeing & the Environment reflection to earn a stamp in your London Passport.
