YORK

Home to one of the world’s most famous churches (York Minster – or more formally, the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York), York is a historic walled city in the northeast of England…about halfway between London and Scotland. Located at the meeting of two rivers, York is a picturesque town that has been inhabited since at least 71 AD. Over time, it has been a political, trading, and religious capital. Today, it’s a major railway transportation hub and serves as a major tourist destination for its history and scenery.

If you would like to travel to York on Friday 28th September, keep an eye on your Syracuse email account: Registration will open on Tuesday 18th September, and spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis! This trip will lend itself to a Sport, Wellbeing & the Environment or Art, Architecture & Heritage reflection to earn a stamp in your London Passport.
